Please take me with you!
Oh, Door Opener, must you leave for a one-week trip? Sure, I can understand why you'd want a break from Zephyr, what with all the trouble he's caused you lately. But think of me! When you're at home, I can generally come and go inside and outside as I please. When it's only the Can Opener at home, I get more ornery. Yes, he does allow me to go outside, but he doesn't have the revolving door policy that I've trained you to adopt. I just know it's going to be a stressful week for me.Please won't you consider taking me with you?

If I could, I'd come visit you while your beans are away...but alas, I'm an indoor poodin' and get lost in my own backyard...sigh...
That's sweet, but don't worry too much about me. I'll be well taken care of. Just a little peeved is all.

I think you should spend the time having a party while your humans are gone for a week. That could be awesome fun!
