Too Hot!

Last week it was TOO HOT here.

We're rainforest kitties and aren't used to the hot hot temperatures. We were doing anything we could to try and stay cool. Zephyr stretched himself out on the tile on the bathroom floor and just stayed there for days and I tried out every possible position and place to try and catch a breeze. The catbed was WAY TOO HOT, but I did find this pile of boxes which just happened to be dead centre under a fan. It was hard to get comfy, but it was a little cooler. We're all glad the cool temperatures are back - the Door Opener and I are less crabby and Zephyr is a little more zippy.

One Month

One month ago Zephyr had his "incident" . Zephyr has long been back to his usual strange self, but the Door Opener has this wicked-cool scar on her wrist to remember it by. Look! You can see where each and every one of Zephyr's sharp little fangs went into her tender arm. I'm not saying it was the RIGHT thing to do, and I'd certainly never do it, but I bet it felt REALLY GOOD. I used to bite a lot when I was a kitten, and even though I'm more civilized now and never ever use my teeth on the fleshies, I still remember it fondly. Besides - the girl looks TOUGH with that scar so she shouldn't be complaining.

Whereupon The Door Opener Returns From Her Trip And Is So Pleased That Everyone Is Well, She Brings Zephyr A Treat of Fresh Cat-Grass

Please take me with you!

Oh, Door Opener, must you leave for a one-week trip? Sure, I can understand why you'd want a break from Zephyr, what with all the trouble he's caused you lately. But think of me! When you're at home, I can generally come and go inside and outside as I please. When it's only the Can Opener at home, I get more ornery. Yes, he does allow me to go outside, but he doesn't have the revolving door policy that I've trained you to adopt. I just know it's going to be a stressful week for me.

Please won't you consider taking me with you?

(Meanwhile, Zephyr is well and is spending a lot of time on this stool. He thanks his friends for their concern. Turns out that hat was just something the peeps found in a thrift shop.)
